Louis Louw was born in South Africa and graduated from Western Apostolic Bible College, Stockton, California, in 1977. He and his wife, Rosemary, received their appointment as pioneer missionaries to Namibia in May 1984, following a term of service in South Africa. He describes his work as “evangelism, church planting, developing evangelistic and training literature in indigenous languages, building the headquarters church and Bible school.” Likewise, the Louws have taken the gospel to the Kavango tribe and have reached out to Angolan expatriates and refugees. They have broken the tribal traditional cycle, instituted Christian marriage, and have taught Christian family concepts in the context of New Testament salvation. Because they have been unable to renew their resident visas, they moved to neighboring South Africa and make periodic in Namibia visits to give leadership to the Namibian church.
