Richard Porter

Swaziland

Richard and Patricia Porter, graduates of Texas Bible College, were appointed as missionaries to the nation of Ghana, West Africa, in October 1978. There they served as the national youth president and as instructors in the national Bible institute of Ghana. Later they transferred to the Republic of South Africa where they established the United Pentecostal Church Bible College in Tembisa and served as missionary advisor to the African Division of the United Pentecostal Church of South Africa. In 1992, the Porters were appointed as missionaries to the Kingdom of Swaziland in southern Africa, where they currently serve as the field superintendent and president of the Christian Life College of Swaziland. Under the Porters’ leadership, the United Pentecostal Church of Swaziland has grown from nine to 35 churches and from a constituency of 500 to 4,600.
