Appointed to Southeast Asia in September 1990, Robert and Gayle Frizzell pioneered the UPC in Vietnam, Laos, the Golden Triangle, and Cambodia and converted, established, and trained the ministry in these nations. He started an International, a Burmese, and two Thai churches in Bangkok, Thailand. He assists the national church in Thailand and Myanmar with ministerial and leadership training. He teaches in the Burmese Bible school and conducts ministerial seminars in the Asia region. He stated, “I am busy with six nations, and two more have requested my ministerial participation. Because of this, I travel much. When I begin something new in a place, I convert, disciple, and train local ministry to assume the local, the new provincial, or national church. When I go into an established national work, I reaffirm the doctrine in detail, encourage and strengthen the ministry, motivate them to greater evangelism, and teach what is requested.”
